The Udan project was initiated by the InAmigos foundation in 2020. In addition to empowering women, it primarily concentrated on rural India. Numerous women were assisted by Udan in regaining their authority and advancing in the fields of computer literacy, business, financial independence, and tailoring. Its accomplishments, effect, influence, and compelling purpose and future vision will be examined in more detail.
Where it all began
Project Udaan, an initiative of the InAmigos Foundation (IAF), began with a focus on empowering women in India through education and skill development. the starting point. On September 23, 2020, the Udan project was initiated in the heart of Chhattisgarh. The state of Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Bihar, and the western part of Bengal are all affected. By 2028, the main objective is to reach 10,000 women. However, that is only the beginning.
Success Stories
It focuses on providing marketable skills like tailoring, handicrafts, digital literacy, and entrepreneurship support, enabling women to achieve financial independence and uplift their communities.
Bihar's Meena Devi: Having no formal schooling, Meena Devi, a mother of two children, enrolled in Udaan's tailoring course. She currently operates her own home-based boutique. (From housewife to business owner)
Bano Ruksar (Uttra Pradesh): After the Ruksar family struggled to make ends meet during the COVID-19 pandemic, she opened a home-based store. She now makes enough money to start her own label and support her whole family.
Devi Anjali (Jharkhand): In her village, Anjali serves as a digital mentor. She is raising awareness of government services and assisting her village's residents with mobile banking.
Project Udaan, an initiative by InAmigos Foundation, empowers women in India through skill development and entrepreneurship training. Success stories include women becoming primary earners, launching micro-enterprises, and mentoring others.
The Vision Ahead
In order to empower people and communities for long-term progress, the foundation hopes to scale its effect by increasing its relationships and reach. Mainly focused on women empowerment, skill development for the rural side people. And also, they focused on animal welfare and community support. InAmigos foundation aims to create a positive impact on the society. The foundation's impact by expanding its reach and partnerships, empowering individuals and communities for long-term growth.
What’s Next for Project Udaan?
By 2028, the Udan project aims to reach over 10,000 women by extending digital literacy initiatives and creating an online marketplace for women-owned enterprises.
